Isla Del Leyendas: Part 16

The Trainers have reached the room with that huge unknown Pokemon, I think now would be a good time to instigate my plan between Entai and Moltres’s Chosen, and now would be a good time to grab some more Trainers. Raikou’s Chosen’s powers, added to that I have already, means that I am almost ready to act, and when I take the last Trainer’s gifts, the legendaries will hold no power that can hurt me, and hold no ace to bale themselves out with.

My plan will be complete soon.

Now, to start my finals plans in motion, starting with Entai, Moltres, and Lugia….

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“I need my thread to be cut.” Greg called to Hayley, “I can’t get what I need out of my backpack when I’m tied to two other people.”

“You only need one cord cut, Greg.” Iason told him, “Cut the one to Katherine, but make sure it’s retied as fast as possible, I do not want to lose anyone else tod…tonight.”

“What time is it?” Juni asked him, puzzled, it had been light when they’d fallen, but her Poketech had broken.

“Eleven o’clock…”

“We’ve been down here what seven and a half hours?” George asked incredulous. “No wonder our Pokemon are tiring, it’s been an almost non stop battle all the way here, and we still have very little clue as to what is going on!”

“But we have learnt about a mythic Pokemon.” Rex said, trying to be helpful.

Greg and George glared at him, Greg pulled a spray out of his bag and called his Houndoom out. In his hand, he held a Hyper Potion that would heal any Pokemon, “This’ll hurt slightly, but I don’t know when we’re going to be able to get to a Pokemon Centre, so…”

Houdoom braced himself and Greg sprayed the leg that was hurt. Once he’d treated his Houndoom he returned the spray to his bag.

“Ummm, Greg…?” Ash said, with a look towards his Pikachu, “Can I use some of that?”

“No.” Greg said, shutting his bag, “Just return your Pokemon to its Pokeball, and use another one.”

“I won’t do that, please can I use your Hyper Potion, I’ll pay you back.” Ash had to force himself to be polite to the Trainer.

“You don’t have that much money on you.”

“It’s all back at the ship, I’ll pay you when we get back.”

“No.” Greg shook his head, Ash growled, “What? Don’t you know how to return a Pikachu? Look I’ll show you.” He grabbed the only Pokeball he hadn’t seen Ash use, off of Ash’s belt, and attempted to return Pikachu, having gotten fed up of the electric mouse, and Ash’s worrying.

Or at least that’s what he attempted to do.

What actually happened was that Ash punched him and it dissolved into a wrestling match, which only ended when Greg, who was bigger then Ash, had the fifteen year old pinned on the ground, Pikachu’s Pokeball had rolled away and had been picked up by Katherine. Rex and Iason moved quickly, and Iason and Rex ended up cutting themselves free, before cutting the string connecting the two Trainers, then Iason pulled Greg off of Ash and Rex restrained the angry Trainer.

“Ash, Greg.” Iason snapped.

“Don’t you ever try anything like that again.” Ash snarled, focused on Greg, ignoring Iason, and only registering Rex because he was holding him back from leaping on Greg again. “Pikachu hates going inside his Pokeball, I won’t let anyone try to return him.”

“Greg, can’t you lend Ash some Hyper Potion? You’re the only one that has any left.” Iason asked, resigned.

“No,” Greg snapped, “I only have one or two more sprays left, and my Pokemon come first. And if he’s so worried about his Pikachu, he’d return it so it was safe.”

“It won’t let him, remember?” Rex snapped. Then had a shock, as Ash shrugged out of his blue jacket and leapt on Greg again, this time nearly getting the upper hand before he was pinned again.

‘I hate to say it, but it would be easier if they were both knocked out.’ Iason sighed as this time Rex pulled Greg off and Iason, who as the oldest and biggest, was also the strongest, held Ash. Rex gave Iason a look and dragged Greg back into the corridor, his Magmar followed. “If you promise not to go after Greg, I’ll let go.” Iason told Ash.

Ash just snarled and tried to free himself.

Iason’s only response was to tighten his grip on Ash’s arms. He sighed, “Katherine, go check on Greg and Rex, make sure they aren’t killing each other.” The Trainer nodded and passed Pikachu’s Pokeball to Juni. Iason looked down as he felt Ash stop tugging. The Trainer had closed his eyes, and Iason could see he was trying to calm down. “Can I let go now?” Iason asked when Ash opened his eyes again. He could see Ash was still furious but when the younger Trainer nodded, Iason took a risk and let go. Ash stalked over to Juni, took Pikachu’s Pokeball off of her and then moved closer to the Arceus statue. Pikachu leapt out of Danielle’s arms and followed his Trainer.

Darius watched emotions flare amongst the other Trainers; he didn’t want to step in. He just wanted to fade into the background at the moment. It wasn’t like anyone here had actually spoken to him beyond a few words. What could he do?

He brushed his brown hair behind his eyes again; it kept getting in his eyes. He wanted out of here, out of the dark, out of the oppressive caves, away from the statues that signalled where they were…o… The statues lit up whenever they came near… could that be why the Ghosts kept finding them? The statues could have cameras or motion detectors, or just a light on a map… it would be so easy.

But everyone was on edge, everyone was tired. The idea, his idea, would just be dismissed. They needed to rest, but no where was safe. No where was safe… they didn’t even trust each other.

Iason sighed as all of Ash’s Pokemon came out, and tried to calm their Trainer down, though Sceptile gained an angry look when Pikachu explained why Ash was furious. Then he turned to the door that Rex had dragged Greg down, trusting the others and Ash’s Pokemon to keep an eye on the fuming Trainer.

Rex’s Magmar was glaring at Greg’s Houdoom and the only reason they weren’t in the middle of a Pokemon battle was because Katherine had gotten between them. “Pokemon aren’t to be used for fights like this! You both know that!” She was trying to reason with them. However she wasn’t getting very far.

“Take it to the Arceus room guys,” Iason sighed, having seen this coming, “Just remember that there is no Pokemon Centre down here, and that if your Pokemon get badly hurt, there’s no way to heal it till we get out of here.”

The two Trainers backed down immediately, neither of them wanted their Pokemon badly injured and a fire on fire battle would probably result in a few injuries, and neither Trainer wanted that. They were about to stalk back into the Arceus room when Juni’s cry alerted them that something was wrong.

Katherine reached the door first and growled.

“Guys, not now, the Ghosts are back!”

They piled back into the Arceus Chamber, where Ash and his Pokemon were helping Juni and Hayley, Danielle’s Pokemon were holding their own, Raven and his Noctowl were cutting through the ghosts with ease, and Darius was shooting down a corridor. “Where’re Kayla and George?” Iason yelled, as Katherine chased after Darius.

“The cord was cut!”

Iason swore under his breath, and then smiled as he realised there was finally enough room for… “Dragonite!” The Ghosts wheeled around and floated backwards, away from the huge dragon, “Dragonbreath!” Iason yelled. Dragonite roared, then attacked with green fire. The ghosts fled.

“Well done.” Iason told his Pokemon, then went over to Hayley, Danielle and Juni. “How did this happen?”

“The ghosts cut the thread.” Danielle growled, “Before we even realised that they were attacking.”

Darius and Katherine stalked back, Darius was growling but Katherine just shook her head. Hayley and Juni froze… “I’m sorry, there was no sign of them… it’s a dead end.”

“But that’s the only passageway out of this room!” Hayley shouted, “They have to be down there! You couldn’t have been looking hard enough!” Hayley attempted to shoot down the corridor, but was pulled back by Greg, who’d made his way over to the door, “Let me go, Greg.” She snarled, glaring at the teen. He shook his head.

“Greg’s right,” Iason said, “No one can go off alone, we’ll find your brother, and the others.”

“How?” Juni asked, “You said it’s a dead end!”

“This place is bound to have hidden passageways.” Ash said, thinking as he returned his Pokemon to their Pokeballs, “These sorts of places normally do and Ghosts could probably find them easily.”

“Then we have two choices.” Rex said as Ash’s Pikachu leapt up onto his shoulder. “We can either stay here, where we aren’t completely safe, but at least it’s slightly more defendable then that statue room, or we can go see if we can find the switch and continue trying to find the others. Whoever lured us here has to have everyone trapped on this floor, after all, there’s no stairs here.”

“This room is more defendable…” Iason trailed off, “Defendable enough that only one or two people would be able to defend the others…” He looked at his Poketech, “I suggest before we do anything, we get some form of rest.”

“But what about George?” Hayley demanded, “Who knows what they’ve got planned for him!”

“You won’t be any use to him if you’re too tired to battle, and the same goes for your Pokemon.”

“I’ll stay up and keep guard.” Iason said with a sigh.

“You have to rest too!” Juni told him, Hayley glared at her. “I’m worried about George too, but they do have a point, if we’re too tired, we’ll make mistakes in battle, and then we might mess up big time.”

“I’ll stand guard too.” Greg growled. “Take it in turns.”

“I’d say stand guard in pairs,” Raven suggested.

“I’ll take guard duty.” Darius added.

“And me.” Ash spoke.

“Me too.” Rex said.

“We’ll all take duty at some point.” Katherine said, Juni, Danielle and Hayley agreed with her.

“I’ll take first watch, who wants to partner up with me?” Ash asked.

“I will.” Greg spoke first.

“No, I will.” Rex said with a glare.

“I’ll take the first watch with Ash.” Iason told them, settling the matter. “Then Greg and Juni, Darius and Hayley, Rex and Raven, and finally Katherine and Danielle. We’ll go in two hour shifts, that gives everyone a chance to get eight hours sleep.”

“I doubt we’ll sleep.”

“We’ve been up about thirteen hours and been battling all day.” Iason said, “Trust me, everyone will need their rest, even if no one sleeps.” The others nodded and ranged themselves around the statue of Arceus, while Ash and Iason sat, and leant back on one of the feet. As Iason had predicted, Danielle was the first to fall asleep, and the others soon followed.

“Out like lights.” Ash whispered, about ten minutes into their shift, he sat back down and closed his eyes, tipping his head back, and resting it on the stone foot.

“Don’t go to sleep on me, Ash.”

“I’m thinking, and Pikachu’s already asleep, look.” Iason looked over; sure enough Pikachu was asleep and was led next to Danielle.
