Isla Del Leyendas: Part 12

Gary Oak had come to the Isla De Leyendas for research purposes, what he hadn’t expected was the world to go to hell while he was there. There were reports now coming in that Articuno and Latias were heading this way from different directions. Why the hell were Kyogre, Groudon, Latias and Articuno on their way to this island? What was going on here that was so important?

Gary had come up to the Legend Temple to find out.

What he’d found worried him.

All the statues were overturned, the ground looked like it had recently been disturbed, and every single statue had a pair of glowing eyes.

His Pokegear went off.

He saw the caller ID and quickly accepted the call.

“Hey Gramps, Ash is… Isla De Leyendas? I’m there right now. Find him? Ok, CS Legacy, right, call Pewter City Gym when I find him? His friends are worried, check, ok Gramps. I’ll phone you after I find him… Bye.”

Gary groaned as he shut off his Pokegear, if Ash was here, and the legendaries were coming here, Ashy-boy was probably in trouble again, and some how Gary doubted he was on the ship.

The Trainers were nearly to the shrine, and there was no way their numbers were small enough for him to take them on his own yet. He had to find someway of slowing them down.

Gengar had reported a disturbance between the Chosen of Moltres and the Chosen of Entai, maybe he could use this to his advantage…

Thirteen was too big a number for him to deal with, even with the Ghosts.

He’d planned on draining more powers before they’d gotten this far.

Was there a way he could manipulate Entai’s Chosen, against that of Moltres? And vice versa?

If he could, it would work to his advantage.

Yes, he would work something out.

Greg was not happy.

He didn’t trust Rex as far as he could throw him.

Which considering Rex was bigger then him, wasn’t very far.

Greg’s hand made a fist, then released his fingers. It wasn’t a good time for him to get angry. He knew that, but still his hand kept making a fist. He hated feeling trapped. Hated walking into traps. Hated here and now. It was a terrified hate, but still hate.

He wasn’t happy either, with the fact that no one bar him seemed to be taking the fact Ash’s powers were a threat seriously. The boy was allowed to move around the group of thirteen without anyone saying anything.

Greg thought that this was unfair when the dangerous one was allowed almost free roam and yet no one would stand by him for more then two seconds. Something had to be done about Ash, if Danielle, the Mew Girl, was right, then their enemy was after their gifts from the legendaries.

No one else had yet twigged that if Ash had been captured the battle before last, instead of only nearly, that they’d be in a lot more trouble then they were.

Yes, something had to be done about the Chosen of Lugia… but what?

Rex was in a foul mood, that rat, Greg, hadn’t taken his eyes off of Ash since they’d started moving again. He didn’t think the Chosen of Entai realised that while it seemed no one was guarding Ash, neither Iason or Darius or himself had taken their eyes off Ash for more than two seconds since they’d started moving again. Or if Greg realised that Ash’s powers weren’t the only ones that could cause trouble if the owner was captured.

Why Greg thought he knew everything was beyond Rex.

But it was really beginning to grate on his nerves.

Danielle chewed on a lock of her hair. She was worried. Mew wouldn’t be here for ages yet, and it might be too late to save the others.

“Danni?” A voice started to ask, she glared at her, she hated her name being shorted. “Danielle… sorry, but what else has Mew told you?”

“Not much,” Danielle admitted to Kayla, who seemed to have a lot on her mind, “Other then what all our gifts are, and to make sure they don’t fall into the enemy hands and that she was coming to help.”

Kayla ran a hand through her hair and smiled at her, a forced smile admittedly, but a smile none the less. “I don’t honestly see how our powers could help an evil guy rule the world anyway, it’s not like we can command wild Pokemon to do what we want.”

“Mew doesn’t know either.” Danielle sighed, they fell back into silence.

Iason ran a nervous hand through his hair, it was getting greasy again, and coarse from the dirt. A sideways glance at Ash. Did Ash really have the most dangerous of their gifts? He was a good lad, from what he had seen. Still a child, but there was a determination there that rivalled a dragon's. Even when injured... Ash wouldn't give up. But what was up with the Pikachu? Ash wouldn't put him away safe in his Pokeball.

“Hey Brendan?” Katherine called, twisting a stand of her hair round one finger, “Do you think Greg would notice if we moved?”

Brendan laughed nervously, “I don’t think so, but Ash might notice the burning stare that would be burrowing into his back.” Brendan sighed, he’d been hanging around with Ash and Kayla on the boat, mostly picking his butt off the floor after they’d finished ‘helping’ him, though he didn’t see how much help wiping the floor with him was to him. Brendan ran his fingers along the wall. It probably wasn’t safe… but he wanted to feel something real in the darkness.

Katherine watched the others around her, playing with her hair as she did so, she could still feel Greg’s glare burrowing into her back, even though it was aimed at the person in front of her and she didn’t like it. She felt like turning around and slapping the boy, except she had no clue where he was since most of the light was in front of them, and she didn’t want to start a fight on the stairs. She was Suicune’s Chosen, was she? The Chosen of the North Wind, she liked the sound of that, what she didn’t like was the feeling she was getting of the boy behind her contemplating removing the boy in front of her from their group.

Raven felt strange travelling in such a large group. It was still strange for him to be with others. He spent so much time alone. Part of him wanted to slip away, be alone for just a few minutes to think. He couldn't think properly in this crowd. He felt... crowded. A small smile at his own wording, hidden in the darkness. He knew he was a loner, most trainers were to some point. Ash wasn't.

Ash was never alone. A part of Raven wanted that. He wanted the trust that existed between Ash and Pikachu. He would have to earn it, but it seemed so out of reach. He liked his Pokemon to be sure... but did he trust them as much as Ash trusted Pikachu? Or they him? He didn't think so... not yet.

Juni yawned. She was tired, not only from the battling along the way, but from a restless night before. Sleep would feel so good right about now. Except that if she slept now then the guy after them would get her. She hated when these things happened, she hated that she never got a good night sleep before hand. You would have thought after a dozen bad situations there would be one she would go into with a full night sleep behind her. At least she knew she wasn't precogging or anything. That wasn't her gift. It had to be Hayley's or George's fault.

Note to self, the next time we get a bed to sleep in make sure there is a surprise for George.
